Spotting under the snow...

Desipite of a bad light for pictures, I still wanted to enjoy the great temperature of the day (only -4°C, that's hot for this period :) By the way, there was also an unusual visitor...

Luck or bad luck??

Yesterday, the flight of Royal Air Maroc between Casablanca and Montreal has been made by the only B747 of the company (which is generally used to transport the king Mohammed VI). My spotting session was planned when I knew that it will take off the next day at 11am. In the morning there were a beautiful sun, -16 ° C and I waited near the runway 24 left for 45 minutes ... After his visit to the deicing pad, this rare 747 began to roll to the opposed runway, the 24 right ... Too bad... we can not have everything ...

First spotting of '09 with a nice visitor!

It's with a beautiful sunny and freezing cold day that I started my 2009 season of spotting. With the advent OAI's DC-10, it took me no more to go brave the wind and blowing snow low ...
By the way, I also took some rented planes... The first is from TUIfly (Germany) for Canjet.

Windy spotting (gust @ 49 knots)

My great idea of the day was to walk 5 km on icy sidewalks and streets, dotted with huge puddle of water, all with gusts of wind near of 90km/h...

Morning spotting

After a night's work, I decided to increase my lack of sleep, and enjoy a relatively calm morning, scattered with cirrus and sunny breaks...

3rd place:
Landing on left wheel for this B732 of First Air

2nd place:

This very hard landing gave a big jump to this B753 (ATA Airlines)
---
And the 1st place:

No, this AT A310 doesn't walk... It just was the strangest landing I ever saw...

Unbelievable luck!!

6th November
---------------
In the middle of the week, I received my new toy ... A Canon 40D. The next day, before going to work, I could not resist to go for a ride to the airport to test my new beast ... The weather was foggy, and the sun was emerging behind me. Arrived on 55th Avenue, I took this first image that will not bring anything from a technical photo, but what chance to see 3 Boeing 767-200 (with 3 differents livery) which never fly for Air Canada ...
This second picture is an A319 ex Frontier Airlines that is directed to the Russian company "Rossiya".
That's what we can call "globalization"... Former capitalist Airlines for a communist company, European aircraft and a paintjob in Canada... :)
7th November
---------------
Dreary weather today, but despite this, I still wanted to continue my test ... When I decided to take some pictures, I did not expect to see the last two A343 Air Canada, and at the same time on the tarmac of the airport!
C-GDVZ with the new AC livery

And C-GDVW (Hybrid livery) which done the flight "Rapidair" AC415 between Montreal And Toronto...
I don't have to say that's these 2 great birds make my day!! :)
